FAQ

  • If I have an art piece that I made of your character/book, where would I send it?
Sending it through my email should be perfect! :) m.c.writes.25@gmail.com
  • What are you working on after Teresa?
Adriel’s book is the plan! His book is a prequel so reading Teresa before is crucial, same with reading both Teresa and Adriel before reading Marina. Adriel is Teresa, Adrian, and Marina’s father, the book will be based on him and Isabella (their mother/his wife).
  • Would you ever translate your books into my language?
OMG YES, I would so be into this. Though, I would need a translator who is capable of doing the desired language and they would need experience in both languages. I would most likely do Spanish or Italian first.
  • Where are you from?
I live in California, USA. I am Mexican from my mom and a bit of Swedish, Irish, Mexican, Spanish, and even recently found out Italian from my dad, hahah. It’s a bit all over the place but I love that I come from so many beautiful cultures and countries.
  • Who are your favorite authors?
Penelope Douglas. Lauren Asher. Molly Doyle. Harley Laroux. Harper Ashley. Nikki St Crowe.
  • Any advice for your readers who are thinking of becoming a writer?
Do it. Don’t question it or procrastinate about what’s stopping you, just do it. For a long time, I was scared and worried of what would be in the way when all I need to do was start writing. Another thing, if you want to write something but worried about what others will say/think/judge about you- write it anyway. If writing it makes you happy, write it. You’ll get a lot farther writing something that you truly are passionate about. Write the love story that needs to be told in your way.
  • How long have you been writing for?
Writing for purely imagination since I was little, as a little girl I love journaling and always having a diary. I would also have a vivid imagination when thinking of random stories or ideas going on in my head. Fun fact- I also very often have dreams. Like almost every day.
  • What were your least and most favorite parts of the writing process to the Giovanni Series?
*SPOILERS AHEAD - READ WITH CAUTION* Least favorites were Chavi and Vlad going through the miscarriage, Dante’s past and trauma, along with writing Adriel’s journey on how he became the boss of his family business. My favorites had to have been Adrian finding out about Nico and Teresa’s feelings/relationship, literally anything with Dante, and Lorenzo coming back into the picture.
  • Who are the children of Adriel and Isabella Giovanni? Who’s the youngest to oldest?
Teresa Maria Giovanni is their youngest daughter who just turns 21 in her book. Adrian Valentino Giovanni is their middle child and only son, who will become the heir to the family business and he’s 23 at the start of the series. Marina Catalina Giovanni is their oldest daughter and kid, she is 25 when the book begins.
  • If I wanted to read all the books in the Giovanni Series, what would be the correct reading order?
In the order I published them and I did purposely do that for the readers. I wanted it to be easier for you guys all the way around. (CORRECT READING ORDER - TRILOGY & STANDALONE BOOKS) 1 - Teresa 2 - Adriel 3 - Marina 4 - Dante 5 - Aurora 6 - Vladimir
  • Do you have any comfort characters or favorite ones in The Giovanni Series?
Ah, yes! I love this question as well. I don’t have a favorite because I simply cannot pick between my babies. However, I do have a comfort character in the Giovanni Series and that is Dante De Luca. I put my heart, soul, and tears into his character, background, and interests.
  • If I have a specific book I want to read, can I read it out of the order of the rest?
If it’s apart of the series (ex. Teresa, Adriel, and Marina), then no, I HIGHLY recommend you read in the order I published. If they are any of the stand-alone books, you can read whichever one you want.
  • Are any of your characters based on anyone in real life?
Yes! I love this question. Chavi, Gabriela, and Aurora are all based off people I have been friends with while writing Teresa during 2021-2022. All of the girls have contributed some ideas and details to their character but for the most part they let me have creative freedom over their fictional characters.
  • Who’s Dante De Luca based off?
When creating Dante before he was named Dante. I wanted a morally grey character who the readers who tend to love those types can relate to them as well. He’s based off Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, but picture Reid in his dark disturbed mafia era. That’s Dante. I’d like to just say cause I love talking about Dante- Dante is ONLY 20 years old in the beginning but he’s the Underboss. Keep in mind, Underbosses are generally known to be a bit older and more experienced. Dante’s IQ level is HIGHER than most 20 years old and he’s just a bit more socially anxious which makes him have a love for staying home doing research on random things and reading books.
  • How long have you been writing Teresa's book?
    Since July of 2021.
  • How did you come up with the idea of The Giovanni Series?
It honestly started with Teresa's book and I didn't have the other books in my mind at the time. I really wanted to make a book with a girl in a mafia family that needed a bodyguard because her family is receiving death threats. Then people started loving Adriel and Marina as well as other side characters so I just decided to extend the world's timeline as a whole.
  • What is the appropriate reading age for The Giovanni Series?
At least 15-16 years old or older. *If you’re younger, I am not paying for your therapy afterwards.*
  • Who’s in the next generation of the Giovanni Series?
Right now, it’s just Crystal Adrianna Giovanni. She’s the first child and only daughter of Adrian and Aurora.
